Q Shelter is the peak body for housing and homelessness services industry in Queensland. The organisation is funded by the Queensland Government and supported by a membership base of community housing providers, homelessness services, and individuals who are passionate about delivering social and affordable housing for those in need.This newly created role will form part of the Executive team and report directly to the CEO. They will manage 3 direct reports and be responsible for:Delivering accurate financial reporting to internal and external governing bodiesDriving the budgeting, audits, cash flow, debt and treasury functions and ensuring a healthy financial positionProviding authoritative financial analysis and advice to the CEO, Board and the sectorProvide business case and analysis to support new business ideas and growthLead the HR and policy frameworkLead the IT systems and ensure it supports business successContribute to the development of QShelter's strategy and sustainable growthWith the CEO, drive internal and external marketing, communications and events.Overseeing facilities management, procurement and related matters.Essential CriteriaYou must have be CPA/CA qualified and have at least 5 years senior management experience in a corporate services role or similar. It is ideal that you have worked in the NFP space;You will be able to demonstrate a flexible and nimble approach to working and be keen to roll up your sleeves and operate at both the strategic and operational ends of the scale;A role model of ethics and integrity who can demonstrate a commitment to social inclusion and improving the lives of those who are disadvantaged.To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter of no more than two pages addressing the selection criteria.
