Newsletter: Community Housing Finance // Rent vs Income Report // BloomingHR New Team Member

Hi All,

The full newsletter can be viewed here.

Great news for the community housing sector this month with the National Housing Finance Investment Corporation calling for EOI from registered CHP’s interested in borrowing fundsfrom the Affordable Housing Bond Aggregator (AHBA). The AHBA aims to provide cheaper and longer-term secured loan finance for community housing by issuing bonds in capital markets.  Let us know if you need help with your applications and we can help put you in touch with the right people.

Housing affordability in Australia is an issue never far from our minds, highlighted again this month in Compass Housing’s excellent publication which takes a completely fresh look at how to measure affordability.  More details on this and the AHBA below.

In just a few weeks’ time, the AHI’s 2018 Mentoring Program will come to a close after a fantastic 9 months.  This year is the first time we have been actively involved in the program, working closely with the AHI supporting the development and delivery of the scheme, which was open to housing professionals based in NSW.  We would like to thank the AHI for inviting us to partner with them in the program, which has been a great success with both mentees and mentors benefiting hugely from their participation.  Applications will soon  be opening for the 2019, and we would actively encourage you to put forward your rising stars to take part.  You will see below highlights from some of the participants.

And finally, I am delighted to welcome our newest team member, Alyssa Mulray to the team.  Alyssa joins us this month as our HR and Recruitment Consultant.  Read her personal profile below!  Welcome to the team, Alyssa!

Hope you all have a great month.

All the best,
Natalie
