Newsletter: Motivation in the Community Sector, are Mobile Phones a Brain-Drain and Join us for Breakfast!

Dear All,

The full newsletter can be viewed online here.

In September, BloomingHR held its first Community Sector Careers Breakfast in Parramatta.  We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped to make the event such a success!  In particular, thanks go to our guest speakers, John Nicolades, CEO of Bridge Housing and Michael Kourakis, Executive Manager Asset Growth of Hume Community Housing.  Their presentations gave an overview on the sector, where it’s heading, and reflections on transitioning from a Government department to the community housing sector.

The next Career Breakfasts will be held in Adelaide (1 November) and Kiama (15 November).  If you would like to attend, please register on the BloomingHR events page or follow the links below.  The events are aimed at anyone who is thinking about a move to the community housing sector (whether by choice or due to management transfer), and is a great way to hear from sector leaders, meet the BloomingHR team and potential new colleagues.

If you have any friends or colleagues who are considering a move to the Community Housing Sector, this would be a great opportunity for them to learn more about what a great industry it is to work in.

You can register for both events here:

We also launched our Candidate Referral Scheme where you can earn $250 in rewards for referring a candidate who is successfully placed.  There is no limit to the number of candidates you can refer, or the number of rewards you can earn!  More details are below in our special offer promotion.

After a busy month on the road meeting clients and candidates in Brisbane and Adelaide (and a sneaky weekend in the Barossa), we’re in Sydney for the rest of October and looking forward to getting back on the road in November!

See you soon.
All the best,

Natalie Carrington
CEO, BloomingHR
